I‘m focusing on the most important transactions.
Weird early move by Houston. Yuli Gurriel is not worth that contract and wouldn’t even come close to it on the open market.
Logical move by Boston to fire manager Ron Roenicke, as he was terrible. They never should’ve been that bad this season.
The Chicago White Sox surprisingly fired manager Rick Renteria, though two collapses this season on his watch (losing the division after leading it and the ALWC series against Oakland after winning Game 1, justify it.
Miami moved on from Michael Hill. He made enough bad trades that this was easily the right call.
Solid move by Washington to solidify their bench.
Obvious move by Texas and similarly by Arizona. Washington saved money by moving on from veterans who declined.
The New York Mets joined in on getting rid of expensive declining veterans.
