NEW YORK YANKEES VS HOUSTON ASTROS

Hard to say which is the better team, though most likely it’s Houston. I think that the Bronx Bombers will be more motivated due to overcoming all of their injuries and not wanting to lose to Houston in the playoffs again. They also swept Minnesota, who were better than Tampa Bay, who Houston almost lost to. Houston already won the World Series in 2017 and the way they played against Tampa Bay showed a surprising lack of urgency and motivation. Gerrit Cole may be the best SP in the Majors, but his weakness is home runs, the area that New York excels in. It could still go either way, but New York are my pick due to the aforementioned reasons, and due to having a better lineup and bullpen.

WASHINGTON NATIONALS VS ST. LOUIS CARDINALS

Washington are the better team. Hard to say who has the better manager and who will be luckier, but I think Washington might be just a little bit more motivated. My prediction is that Washington’s starting pitching will win them the series.
